Yes. Quinta do Coala has free, off-road parking for multiple vehicles. There is no charge and no time limit. Parking is within the property gates — not on a public road.

Yes, free high-speed fibre WiFi is included throughout the property. The connection is reliable and fast enough for video calls and remote work. The quinta is popular with digital nomads for this reason.

No, unfortunately pets are not accepted at the quinta. This applies to all animals, including dogs and cats.

No, there is no pool at Quinta do Coala. If a pool is important to your stay, the nearest beaches are 8–15 minutes by car — Meia Praia is the closest and has calm, sheltered water perfect for swimming.

Yes — the barbecue and outdoor dining area are a real highlight of the quinta. Long evenings around the table with the BBQ going is the classic Quinta do Coala experience. There is also a traditional Portuguese wood-fired bread oven (forno) on site, though it takes real commitment to fire up properly, so most guests stick to the barbecue.

The guest cottage is a self-contained building separate from the main house. It has its own private entrance, a queen bedroom, a living room with a sofa bed, its own kitchen, private bathroom, and air conditioning. It is ideal for a couple who want to be part of the group but have their own private space — grandparents, a second couple travelling together, or anyone who values a little independence on holiday. The cottage is included with every booking of the full quinta.

Meia Praia is the nearest beach at around 8 minutes by car — a long, sheltered sandy bay with calm water, good for families. Praia de São Roque is about 12 minutes and is quieter. Ponta da Piedade, the famous sea-cliff formation with grottos, is about 15 minutes. For surfing, Arrifana is roughly 35 minutes.

Lagos is approximately 10 minutes by car. The quinta sits in quiet countryside — close enough for easy day trips and evenings out, far enough to feel genuinely peaceful. Exact directions are provided with your booking confirmation.

The Algarve is pleasant year-round, but May–June and September–October offer the best balance: warm enough to swim, far fewer crowds than July and August, and lower prices. July and August are peak season — hot, busy, and the most expensive. October–November is excellent for walking, cycling, and golf. Winter is mild and Lagos is lively even off-season.

A minimum stay of five nights typically applies, though this varies by season. Check the current minimum on Booking.com or Airbnb when you search — the platform will show the minimum for your chosen dates. For shorter stays or exceptions, contact Sanne directly.

A travel cot and high chair are available on request — just mention when you book or contact Sanne in advance. The garden is large and fully enclosed, making it safe for young children to play freely. The quinta sleeps six comfortably, up to eight with sofa beds.

The quinta is a traditional stone building with some steps between levels, both inside the house and in the garden. It is not fully wheelchair accessible. If you have specific mobility requirements, please contact Sanne before booking to discuss whether the property will work for your needs — she will give you an honest answer.

Faro Airport is approximately 45 minutes by car via the A22 motorway (Via do Infante). The A22 is a toll road — you can pay at manual booths or with a Via Verde tag, available at the airport. Car hire is strongly recommended for exploring the western Algarve.

The rental price includes the full property — both bedrooms in the main house, the private guest cottage, use of the garden, BBQ, outdoor dining terrace, and all outdoor spaces. Also included: free WiFi, air conditioning, free parking, bed linen, towels, and a washing machine. There are no hidden extras on our end.
